At Therapeutic Horizons, we believe that every client’s path to healing is unique. Therapy is a collaborative process, shaped around your goals and the pace that feels right for you. We draw from evidence based practices, integrating methods such as cognitive behavioral strategies, EMDR, IFS, and mindfulness to create an approach that supports lasting change. With compassion and curiosity at the center, we help you uncover strengths, gain clarity, and move toward greater balance and emotional well-being.

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is a trauma-focused therapy designed to help individuals process distressing memories and reduce emotional reactivity. Using bilateral stimulation, such as guided eye movements, EMDR supports the brain’s natural ability to heal, helping restore emotional balance and resilience. In therapy, I provide a safe, supportive space where you can move through difficult experiences at your own pace, allowing healing and balance to naturally emerge.

Internal Family Systems (IFS) is a compassionate approach that helps you explore the different “parts” of yourself, each carrying its own feelings, roles, and needs. Sometimes these parts feel at odds, which can create inner tension or self-criticism. In therapy, I guide you in connecting with your core Self, the calm and grounded center within, so you can build healthier relationships with your parts. This process encourages greater self-understanding, harmony, and a deeper sense of wholeness.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is an evidence-based approach that helps with anxiety, depression, and stress by exploring how thoughts, feelings, and behaviors influence each other. In our work together, we identify unhelpful patterns and practice new ways of thinking and coping. CBT provides practical tools you can use both in and outside of sessions to build confidence, strengthen resilience, and feel more grounded in everyday life.

Psychoeducation is an important foundation of therapy that focuses on increasing understanding and awareness of mental health. By learning about how the brain, body, and emotions are connected, clients often gain clarity and feel less overwhelmed by their experiences. This process helps normalize emotions, reduce stigma, and open the door for more informed choices in healing. I use psychoeducation in sessions to create clarity and give clients practical tools they can carry into their everyday lives.

Mindfulness-Based Practices encourage present-moment awareness and connection with your mind and body. By practicing mindfulness, you can learn to notice thoughts and emotions with more clarity and respond with a calmer, steadier mindset. In sessions, I integrate mindfulness as a gentle tool to reduce stress, improve emotional balance, and support overall well-being, helping you carry that sense of steadiness into daily life.
